Barbie McQueen's Favorite Halloween Inspirations, Parties, Memories and Traditions
Hey guys!
Buzznet asked me a few questions about Halloween parties, memories and traditions that I CAN'T go without. I've included some Halloween inspiration pics that definitely get me excited for October 31st. Mmmmm… smells like fall to me ;-].
If you could throw the coolest Halloween party with no limits, what would you do?!
I would throw the sweetest party at the Haunted Mansion at Disney Land (I mean, wouldn't you??!) With that place already being a tad bit spooky to begin with and way too much fun, I'd have all my closest friends there for a bash with all the right ingredients. The key for a good Halloween party goes as follows: obviously number 1, costumes are a must, no one can get in without an amazing costume. Number 2, there has to be GREAT music that everyone can dance to. Number 3, lots of ghoulish cocktails and treats (last year I baked a graveyard cake, a chocolate cake, with lots of oreo "dirt" crumbles, with nutter butter "ghosts" covered in fluff marshmallow topping with black frosting eyes, so yummy!). And last but not least, an open mind to being totally terrified, no wussies allowed!
What is the scariest memory you have from Halloween?
When I was little, as any other Northeastern mom would, my Mom would bring up the Halloween decorations every year and decorate the house right around the first week of October. The thing that terrified me the most was this little mechanical witch named Frances with glowing eyes that for some reason PETRIFIED me year after year. When I was bed, my Mom would say, "Frances is gonna get ya, if you don't behave!". Hilarious.
Do you have a favorite candy to give out to Trick Or Treaters?
Reese's Fast Breaks, those were always my absolute favorites.
If you had the opportunity to play the role of any scary character in a movie, who would you want to be?
Hmm… that's a tough one. Probably Jack Skellington because even though he's supposed to be the most terrifying creature in Halloweentown, he still has a gushy huge heart inside. Plus, he's got the cutest face ever! Haha.
Do you have a favorite Halloween tradition?
I just love the entire month of October and everything that comes along with it. Halloween is such a fun time, I get excited just to see all the festive stuff in the aisles at Target. There's also nothing like a lazy day wandering the pumpkin patch =].
What's YOUR favorite Halloween tradition?
