Of Monsters And Men's "Little Talks" Is My #Blondeaholic Kick Ass Song Of The Week!
Fresh off a sold out show at LA's historic Troubadour last night and a few sets at Austin's SXSW last week, 2012 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Of Monsters And Men. The Reykjavík, Iceland-bred, indie folk band has garnered world-wide attention due to tons of radio love and blog buzz. They're currently on a full fledged US headlining tour, you can see if they're coming to your town at the band's Facebook page.
Now I chose their video for "Little Talks" to be my Kick Ass Song Of The Week because...well, it speaks for itself! This 100%, complete headtrippy video is so awesomely done, I would personally like to give director WeWereMonkeys a very enthusiastic high five. There are rocks that open into human faces, space pirate ships, space jester-hybrid-fairies, monsters that huff on things and make them explode... The storyline is all sorts of crazy and disconnected, and for some reason it works! I adore it and I'm glad the band went big with this video, it truely is a work of art.
