Colors, Fog, Colors, Fog, and More... Colors: Lana Del Rey Drops Weird "Bel Air" Video
There is no female on the music scene I love more than Miss Lana Del Rey right now. I've been a huge fan ever since I heard her smoky voice a year ago on Sirius XM when "Blue Jeans" premiered on Sirius XMU's Daily Download show. Her 10-minute epic Americana guns-a-blazin' video for "Ride" that premiered last month SHOULD win like, 5 VMAs next year (although it probably won't because some other awful mainstream act will probably sweep, as per usual). But, I'm not completely sure about her brand new clip for "Bel Air" that just premiered last night via Lana's Twitter page. The very artsy video shows the gorgeous songstress in various poses in various lighting with lots and lots of smoke and fog billowing around her...the entire time...and that's pretty much it. It's sort of like a lyric video with no lyrics if you will. "Bel Air" is typical LDR fare: a breathy, sweet, lovelorn song that showcases her soft as a rose petal voice very well, but it's nothing we haven't already heard. Wriiten at the bottom of the YouTube clip, it says " i lost my reputation, i forgot my truth. But i have my beauty and i have my youth. 'TROPICO' the film, coming next year". Hmmm...Lana, what do you have up your sleeve this time?
What DO YOU think of Lana Del Rey's video for "Bel Air"? Loves or Leaves?
